The Pentecostal holiness body welcomed four new fields at its International Assembly, where 139 nations were celebrated in the Parade of Nations.
The Church of God of Prophecy welcomed four new nations into its fellowship during the Parade of Nations at its International Assembly, the church's White Wing Messenger reported Oct. 8. The new fields are Madagascar, the Poarch Creek Nation in Alabama, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
The Assembly, held under the theme “Testify,” celebrated 139 nations in the parade, according to the report. The Cleveland, Tenn.-based church has congregations in 137 nations and orphanages serving children in 11.
In Madagascar, Pastor Iseolorunkanmi Matthews and his family planted a mission church after funding came in March 2024. The first converts were welcomed Sept. 29, 2024, and by June 2025 an average of 80 to 90 people were worshiping together. During one revival, 14 people were baptized and 55 entered covenant membership. The church has applied for government registration.
The Poarch Creek congregation, based in Atmore, Ala., meets in a repurposed church building and is led by an ordained Poarch Creek minister, the report said.
In Dubai, Jonah Policarpio, son of Bishop Policarpio of the Philippines, began the work as a Bible study of 20 to 30 people. The church was organized March 22, 2026, and now has 69 covenant members and about 95 weekly worshipers, many of them Overseas Filipino Workers.
The Vietnam work grew from a connection Bishop Gary Langley made with a Vietnamese fellowship in June 2025. It began in July 2026 with 20 covenant members, including 17 pastors who lead congregations near Hanoi and shepherd hundreds of believers, according to the White Wing Messenger.
